This past week our team finished work on our Power Point presentation. We also presented our business concept to the panel on Friday which went really well. The panel gave some great feedback and Milan now has a better idea of what to present when pitching his idea to other investors. We are now starting to put together the venture journal that is due during the last week of class.

Had a great Thanksgiving and a very busy black Friday, I am now enjoying my last couple of days in Chicago. I took a look at some of the work we needed to accomplish the week classes resume but I have not started any major work yet.

I have finally finished updating the financials to display more up-to-date and accurate figures. I met with the group before class to go over the new numbers and overall the group was very happy with the new numbers. The break even point is now achieved sooner than expected and the restaurant stands to make a profit within the first 12 months.





MGMT 465B – Week 10

This week we worked on some of the recommendations that the teacher made in our second rough draft. I continued work on the financials after finding a couple of more errors from the previous financials used. The finalized financial should be completed within the next two weeks. Also, the first draft of the business plan assumed that the restaurant would open at 55% seating capacity filled, we adjusted this number to reflect the restaurant opening at 25% capacity in the first month. I met with Milan outside of class to get some clarification on some of the numbers he used last semester.





MGMT 465B – Week 9

Our group completed the 2nd draft of the business plan. The group continued to work on our individual sections. Milan and Adam came over to my apartment to work on the project before class. We all took a look at the financials and worked out a few of the remaining issues.

Seeing as we had the week off in class, the group decided to play it mellow this week. I worked on portions of my part but I didn’t do any significant work.





MGMT 465B – Week 7

Everybody on the team continued to work on their sections. I continued to work on the financials after finishing the Profit and loss excel. I asked Milan a couple of questions during the week to get some clarification on some of the old financial figures. I also started to help Milan plan a website.





MGMT 465B – Week 6

13 10 2011

Our team has finished with Progress report #2. Milan and I met outside of class to further discuss the financials and for me to give him an update on my section. Our group also decided on a name for Milan’s restaurant, it will no longer be called Pockets. The new name is 212F, which is the boiling point of water. We feel that 212F is a hip and trendy name as well as it does not label (limit) the restaurant.





MGMT 465B – Week 5

During week 5 our group received our first rough draft back. We took a look at all of the recommendations and informed each group member of what they were responsible for during the next week. I continued to work on the financials by working on the excel sheets and double checking all of the numbers that Milan used last semester.
